Mama Rachel Ruto Leads Relief Effort, Distributing Aid to Flood-Affected Households in Kibra

Amidst the ongoing deluge of floods affecting some parts of Kenya, First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto spearheaded a relief effort, distributing food to over 1,000 households in Kibra, Nairobi County.

Recognising the disproportionate toll exacted on the most vulnerable segments of society, particularly women and children, Mama Rachel Ruto’s gesture of compassion and solidarity brought much-needed respite to families facing dire circumstances.

The food distribution initiative, orchestrated by the Office of the First Lady in collaboration with the National Government and the Chandaria Foundation, underscores a concerted effort to alleviate the suffering inflicted by the natural disaster.

In a poignant appeal to the nation’s collective conscience, Mama Rachel Ruto urged Kenyans to extend a hand of compassion and support to their fellow compatriots affected by floods.

MaMa Doing Good CEO Mrs Elizabeth Koskei also urged Kenyans of goodwill to show their support to their fellow Kenyans who have been affected by floods.

The First Lady was accompanied by Peninah Malonza, Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of EAC, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands, and Regional Development; Hon. Njoroge Muchiri, Deputy Governor of Nairobi County; Hon. Esther Passaris, Women Representative, Nairobi County; and Hon. Davidson Ngibuini, MCA,Woodley Kenyatta Golf Course ward.
