Joyful_Women and Climate Works foundation designed the SLCP Project to better understand the impact of super pollutants on household health.

Our findings show that use of solid fuels in households in Kenya emits super pollutants with black carbon dominating at 96.99%. Most affordable cooking appliances are ladened with short-lived climate pollutants.

Use of these in enclosed environments results in multiple health challenges like conjunctivitis, eye cataracts, pulmonary TB, Asthma, and allergies Exposure to short lived climate pollutants on children inhibits them from reaching their full potential
